The Hampton Roads Workforce Council (HRWC) is a special purpose unit of local government that oversees workforce development programs and initiatives for the Cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and the Counties of Gloucester, Isle of Wight, James City, Southampton, and York.

On 9/18/23, HRWC is issuing RFP NO. SMTMC-2023 to solicit qualified marketing agency or firms to develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing campaign aimed at increasing awareness and knowledge of the maritime industry among K – 12 students, transitioning military personnel, veterans, military spouses, and the general population of the Hampton Roads Region.
