FastForward Youth Program (Operated by Paul D. Camp Community College’s Division of Workforce Development)
Serves: Franklin High School and Southampton High School
The CAMP ISY Program is an academic and career pathway program for high school juniors and seniors attending Southampton High School and Franklin High School. Students will receive broad-based career exploration and immersion, job preparation, labor market information, financial literacy education, college and industry tours, tutoring, and workforce readiness workshops. Implementation of services will impact the local high schools’ completion rates, promote postsecondary education, and most importantly, increase awareness of career planning and skill development. The ultimate goal is to promote student success through an ongoing, comprehensive plan of services emphasizing the 21st century job market.

The Youth Workforce Center, New Horizons Regional Education Centers
Serves: The cities of Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, and Poquoson, and the counties of Gloucester, York, and James City.
Through a wide variety of academic and employment related services, the In-School Program provides year-round education support and career preparation for high school juniors and seniors. The In-School Youth program helps high schoolers succeed in school while preparing them for college and their careers. Services provided include tutoring, study skills training and instruction strategies (including dropout prevention) that lead to completion of the requirements for a secondary school diploma. Students also benefit from work readiness skills development, mentoring by appropriate adults, work experience, behind-the wheel, leadership development, and appropriate supportive services. Youth participants also receive guidance and counseling.
