Career Planner - Virginia Career Works (VCW) - Norfolk

The Hampton Roads Workforce Council, a regional workforce development organization, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Career Planner. This position is housed in the HRWC VCW Center in Norfolk, VA and is responsible for the comprehensive case management of individuals in the Hampton Roads area applying for or receiving services offered through the Individual Referral and Training Account program as funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (Public Law 113-128) of 2014.  Makes service level determinations; provides personal, academic and employment counseling and assistance.  Refer customers to other community providers when appropriate.  Assists customers in making informed decisions about job, career, and training opportunities.  Refers candidates as appropriate to employment and other opportunities.  Position functions as critical element of the Council’s case management team. Southside Career Planners report to the Career and Training Services Coordinator and Peninsula Career Planners report to the Director, Virginia Career Works, Career Services.  The starting annual salary range will be $40,950 to $46,988, with excellent benefits, including the Virginia Retirement System and paid health insurance for the employee. Follow-Up Services Specialist

The Hampton Roads Workforce Council (HRWC), a regional workforce development organization, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Follow-Up Services Specialist for our organization.  This position functions as the coordinator of follow-up initiatives for exited adult and Dislocated Worker participants.  Responsibilities include contacting exited participants via multiple avenues and documenting their status based on the coals of the completed program. The annual starting salary range for this position is $37,800 to $42,788 with excellent benefits, including the Virginia Retirement System and paid health insurance for the employee. NextGen Regional Internship Program Coordinator

The Hampton Roads Workforce Council, a regional workforce development organization, is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of NextGen Regional Internship Program Coordinator. This position will manage staff, programming, marketing and reporting for the NextGen Regional Internship Program.  Drives the creative direction of immersive career and job preparation programming for NextGen interns, ages 14-21.  Work is performed under the direction of the Senior Director, NextGen Programs and Special Projects. The Hampton Roads Workforce Council (HRWC), a regional workforce development organization serving Southside Hampton Roads and the Virginia Peninsula, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Financial Coach under our FOC Initiative. This position will be housed in the HRWC VCW Center in Norfolk, VA and will provide and/or facilitate direct financial education services for low to moderate income individuals who are also engaged in occupational skills training services. This is a full-time, Grant funded position.
