Manager, Women in Skilled Careers (WISC) Program (Temporary)

The Hampton Roads Workforce Council (HRWC), a regional workforce development organization, is seeking qualified applicants for the Manager, Women in Skilled Careers Program position for our organization. This temporary position is currently funded through September 30, 2024. This position will perform professional and administrative work associated with the Women in Skilled Careers Program.  Will work closely with industry partners, the educational community, and other partners to facilitate the development and execution of WISC-related functions and initiatives. This position's annual starting salary range is $52,479 to $59,834 based on experience, with excellent benefits, including the Virginia Retirement System and paid health insurance for the employee.

Career Planner- Virginia Career Works (Norfolk)

The Hampton Roads Workforce Council, a regional workforce development organization, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Career Planner for our Norfolk Virginia Career Works center. This role is responsible for the comprehensive case management of individuals in the Hampton Roads area applying for or receiving services offered through the Individual Referral and Training Account program as funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (Public Law 113-128) of 2014.

Makes service level determinations; provides personal, academic, and employment counseling and assistance.  Refer customers to other community providers when appropriate.  Assists customers in making informed decisions about job, career, and training opportunities.  Refers candidates as appropriate to employment and other opportunities.  The position functions as a critical element of the Council’s case management team.  The starting annual salary range will be $41,000 to $47,000, with excellent benefits, including the Virginia Retirement System and fully paid insurance for the employee.
